At the core of this ancient medicine /Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is the philosophy that Qi (pronounced "chee"), or vital energy, flows throughout the body via meridians, or pathways. Qi animates the body and protects it from illness, pain and disease. A person's health is influenced by the quality, quantity and balance of Qi. Acupuncture seeks to balance and improve the flow of Qi ,bringing harmony to the body and its systems.
To treat any Qi imbalances, fine, sterile needles will be inserted at specific acupuncture points along the meridian pathways to alleviate pain and to treat various physical, mental, and emotional conditions. Focus on the treatments being: bringing your body to its optimal health.
Stimulating acupuncture points can trigger various reactions in the body, including releasing natural pain-relieving chemicals, modulating the immune system, and regulating the autonomic nervous system. Alternative therapies like such as Cupping, Laser therapy, Moxibustion, Guasha, TuiNa may be included or suggested for your specific condition.

What to expect after acupuncture?
How you feel after acupuncture session varies. Many people experience a sense of calm following their acupuncture treatment, others feel energized. Acupuncture takes time to work, therefore, one will need a series of sessions (5 -7+ depending on their condition) to achieve desirable results and get the full benefits.
